Willows Cry

Stand by as willows weep tears of stone.
Against a festering failing façade it does mask.
This woeful dreary tune, a listless dire tone.
Awaiting for the return of sunlight in which to bask.

Race in which we’re all mere blood and bone.
Thus the weeping willows sorrowful lullaby.
Aging as it awaits for us to atone.
Our deeds that have stolen her very life.

Listen as willows sway as they swoon.
Within nature’s embrace.
Weeping ever after with a dire croon.
Listen as weeping willows slip slowly away.
