Like the rush of a mountain stream
Chrystal clear and continual
The words and images flow In an endless display
Like Salmon returning to their birthplace
Undaunted and committed 

This is pure inspiration to a writer 
Breathing in the rarified air on the peak of  Everest where the brain translates 
the process into writing reality-
A writer’s dream

Other times the ability is caught up in a 
blockade of stagnancy- halting the creative flow

The thoughts and images are blurred if visible at all forcing the writer to take
a hiatus and use whatever tools and strategy at his or her command

Dealing with the  issue of muddled 
Inspiration with a strong desire to create 
Is the height of frustration -
A challenge to anyone’s patience 

And yet like the instinct-driven Salmon
We are relentless in our quest
Our reward being the resurrection of 
our objective

This then is the trials and tribulations 
of those who love writing solely for the sake of expression and creativity 

I would not want it any other way
