Oh to you I call
The one who is there always
Tormenting my thoughts day after day
In the darkness you are here to stay
Always coming out to play
Though it’s all a game
Soon you break it down again
What you gain I may never know
But out again your spikes will go
Piercing through the flesh and all
Deep within you make your stride 
Pain and gain become the same 
It only lets you know your alive
The feelings of anguish fill the air
As you plunge through again and again 
Is that you love to strain
Any and every strength I have
Oh to you I call life
