This is the first time I’ve had this realization in the WO community 
I hope I’m proven wrong 
But the evidence is strong 

There are very few 
Who reveal in their writing 
That they’ve hit bottom 
And have given up fighting 

That’s understandable 
Life can be hard 
They’ve tried to break out
But are broken and charred 

For those with hope shattered
Fingers on last strand of rope 
They’ve still got a chance
With a glimmer of hope 

The source of my dismay
 That I feel about s few
Is there’re  total negativity 
That holds their life askew

In spite of the attempts  
By many of our writers 
They seem to turn away 
From the pleading to be fighters

They seem to have buried hope
If they ever had it
And I see no indication
Of their will to try and add it      

 I may seem much to harsh
A  result of my frustration 
Delighted if I’m wrong
About this conversation  

This is not about me
Or the other members 
It’s about the tragic few
Trying to light hopes’ embers
