There are many ways to look at it
Think about it for awhile 
The best way to start each day
Is with a real or emotional smile 

I know that can’t happen every time 
Life doesn’t work that way 
But if it’s a goal or a mindset 
It can -at some point come your way 

It may sound unrealistic 
Or even farsical 
If you’re mired in deep depression 
Survival is your tool

No one wants to be there
In the cold and dark of life 
When those clouds do surround you
You must use your survival knife
