Do you ever wonder what it's like
To see beyond the fragile light
When even though your hope is lost 
And your dreams are dust
When in your mind you stay
Because you can't face another day
And all those times you hurt yourself
With the sweet pain from the knife
But have you ever stopped to look
Put away your thoughts and read a book
Write a story, or a poem
Maybe your the arty type
Dreaming with all your might
Then again maybe music bring you bliss
Tick another Concert off your list 
And if you don't have the money
Make one up 
Maybe you think your too far gone
Lost and alone walking on the sharp stones
But bring yourself out and look around
There's people there who are proud
Someone gave you life 
Come on and put down the knife
Life's too short to focus on pain
Trust me I once did the same
I know the feeling
Words twisting around in your brain
Like a never ending pain
But your stronger than this
Stop and look
Even inside a book
That's where I go when im sad or mad
To another world good and bad
Because reading takes me away for a while
To another world which isn't mine
And it makes me laugh, cry and smile
I start feeling things that I was numb too
Because  I let the pain control me
And now I don't because why
I want to laugh and cry
I want to feel that pain 
I don't want it put away again
Locking it up so it consumes me
Thinking it's going to doom me
But then I hear a small voice inside me say
There's too many stars already in the sky
You have to live, love, laugh and cry
Don't let the future hopes you had just crumble and die
Yes you might feel lost, hurt and broken
But those are just emotions
Trust me when I say it gets easier one day
Just take your time big deep breaths
I know it fills you with dread
But once you do it you will see
There's plenty more people like you and me
