Knowing  who you are is so important because a man who lacks confidence is a man who lacks faith. The Lord spoke to me and commended me for accepting my true self. I didn't always like me but I've learned to love me. God chose the weak things of this world to shame the wise. Accept all the things about yourself that make you uncomfortable. You are exactly who God created you to be and nothing can stop God's plan for your existence
