Dreamer's heart


Behind this serene facade, you see,
Woven from every tragedy.
Deeply Imbedded, lies the person I wish to be.

Like flashes of scenes,
playing from horror screens.
Those are what lies behind the face you see. 
Tears flowing from broken hearts eyes.

When trust and love were torn apart, ripped from the inside.
Young naive with a dreamers mind.
I had no idea of the truly hellish world I'd find.

Years of building up these walls,
Knowing my physique couldn't take another fall.
Living in a world of illusions to hide the hurt of it all.
Dreaming of living without fear, just to stand tall. 

Thus the tale, from former battered wife's heart. 
Hoping to cure horror that rips her soul apart.
Even though, years past she made her new start.
Gone he may be, but in dreams, he plays a part.

The keeper of her frightened dreamers heart.
