After writing the peice on role models 
Something weird occurred to me
Going back as far as my recollection 
could take me-I do not remember having one

I did admire many people for varied reasons- looks-skill-abilities-personalities etc. But never-consciously
wanted to be like them

I love theatre-movies - reading -sports as a participant and spectator but never
tried to copy them in any way 
Learn from them when it was important to me solely for my personal satisfaction 

The only person I believe I come close to being a role model is Maya Angelou 
for her brilliance/ her history of struggle to achievement - her incredible 
Intelligence and most it all her phenomenal writing and  poetry 

I envey anyone with a literary gift like hers
There are many but for me she is the best
