He stares at her in silence,

as her beauty fills the room.

Every eye upon her,

as gorgeous as the moon.

Lovely tones on lovely bones,

clad in the softest skin.

Her scarlett dress flows so elegantly,

as she passes by all the young men.

Like a ghost in the shadows,

he tries to keep his distance,

though he's captivated by her sway.

He sees her spotting him,

eyes of the huntress upon her prey.

Fear rose sharply in him as she began to walk his way.

And as she stood before him,

he could not hide his dismay.

Should he take her hand

or let her slip away?
