The Woman of My Dreams…

October 31…

These dreams are back with a vengeance.

Last night was the first one I've had in two months.

The dream starts off with me frantically running down the hill into Gunn Park. I stopped at shelter house one to catch my breath. My chest tight, palms sweaty, and my body vibrating with nerves and anxiety. I take in a deep breath. Letting the cool night's air send a brief wash of calm over my nerves to quiet them down. As I took this moment, I realized I could smell the woman's distant aroma. She had an almost ocean like smell. With her scent locked in my mind I bolted straight to the very last shelter house high upon the hill.

There I found her. Bound and gagged. Her denim blue hair catching the moon light. I fell on my knees next to her.

“ Look at you…”  Was all I managed to squeeze from clenched jaw.

Her once gorgeous regal gown had slashes torn into the lace. Each bearing a bloody laceration. Her body was weak, and her strong vibrant will  was long gone from her eyes. The ropes binding her were glowing red hot. I thrusted my hand into the inside pocket of my jacket to retrieve a vial of glowing blue liquid. Just as I did, I was knocked to the floor. The vial broke, and my heart sank to my stomach as its contents dissipated into the air.

This tall dark silhouette of a woman stood over my body. I was handed one hard stomp to my temple.

“ I don't think so!” The dark figure roars, as I taste blood filling my mouth.

Another hard blow slammed my face into the concrete, this time taking my vision with it. I could hear the dark figure chanting something. The tongue she spoke sounded otherworldly. Her words began to tighten my throat.

Kicking and squirming against my unbearable pain I fought for air, but I was too weak. As my body was beginning to give up. I could feel the wind pick up.

“ You will not take this from me, Abbi!” The dark figure's voice sounded like it were under water.

Thunder cracked and I felt my own life slip from my body all at once….

Even though the words on the page are just some strange nightmare, conjured up by my own subconscious they felt too real. I noticed the pen I was writing with had moisture from my hand coating the barrel.

“Their just dreams, Abbi…” I tell myself, wiping my sweaty palms on my jeans.

Knowing good and we'll I don't believe myself. My previous dreams we never this violent. The dreams before were actually nice. The woman with the blue hair visited me at night. I lived in this beautiful castle. We would have dinner parties, we danced together, we would even save people together. I may have even loved her. I'm not sure. However I knew for certain who ever this woman was she for some reason was missing or taken from me, and I desperately needed her back.
