Take me down the river 

Don't show me love

If I would've known you 

I wouldn't let you take me

Take me to a place

No one will ever be 


No one would want to be 

Life is too interesting 

But you took that away from me

No, you stole that away from me


You left me there drowning 

Never to be ever found

I've been drowned 

Been drowned....


He took me down the river 

Lying to me about his love

He was really clever 

As his push had become a shove


A rock hit me on my side

Sent me down the drive 

Below the drive was a river

My reflection was somewhat clearer 


Rather than my own love

Lover that became an ex

The accountable of my death 


He then marked the spot

That is assumed my grave

Below the parking lot 

Feets under the pave


There I was drowned




Been drowned....
