The planet spins on its axis
Its never-ending revolutions
Like a fine tune written a billion
years ago in the same continual rhythm

Within its gravity walls over centuries
Its inhabitants have had to survive the incredible dangers of this new-born
home
Surviving in this diverse world of land-
mountains and oceans meant obtaining food and shelter with shear strength-
determination and courage

Much  has changed over time but the rudiments of our anscestors still exist
though with more sophistication and light years separated from this primitive
struggle

The continuance of life tells us that our time on earth is limited
By time evolution we live and in a tick of the clock we are gone
Our basic goals remain food and shelter
but with comfort and quality
Each culture may define it and pursue it
differently

On an individual level how do you and I
navigate through this maze of goals and issues seeking a degree of happiness
for ourselves and loved ones
We develop a guide to aid us in our quest
We may do it and interpret it differently
but in our complex societies-something
our anscestors could have never imagined-we have the opportunity to reach our goals
We must be prepared for disappointment as well as success
and motivated to overcome the negatives in our search
Irrespective of what we do-
The Beat Goes On
