I learned a long time ago 
Responsibility has nothing to do 
with ego
It has a lot to do with maturity 
Not age-Maturity 

I am responsible for my own behavior 
To take credit for the good
Responsibility for the bad
We are confronted daily with choices 
Some major-others less significant 
It is easy to take credit when we’ve 
accomplished something 
I’ve seem incidents where credit was given to somebody who accepted the 
compliment that they were not 
entitled to
Conversly-where the same situation 
occurred and the proper person was identified   

In negative events finger pointing can occur to try to transfer guilt as well as the standard denial 

I’m guilty of some of these 
transgressions in my younger -less
mature days  
I’ve learned through trial and error and conscience and parenthood and relationships and introspection (whew)
that I feel better about myself  and
most of us appreciate honesty

The choices come from experience -thought and at times instant reactions 
If you reflect after an incident you can evaluate it once the emotions settle 
It works for me most of the times
It can work for you
                 It’s your choice
