I learned a long time agoResponsibility has nothing to dowith egoIt has a lot to do with maturityNot age-MaturityI am responsible for my own behaviorTo take credit for the goodResponsibility for the badWe are confronted daily with choicesSome major-others less significantIt is easy to take credit when we’veaccomplished somethingI’ve seem incidents where credit was given to somebody who accepted thecompliment that they were notentitled toConversly-where the same situationoccurred and the proper person was identifiedIn negative events finger pointing can occur to try to transfer guilt as well as the standard denialI’m guilty of some of thesetransgressions in my younger -lessmature daysI’ve learned through trial and error and conscience and parenthood and relationships and introspection (whew)that I feel better about myself andmost of us appreciate honestyThe choices come from experience -thought and at times instant reactionsIf you reflect after an incident you can evaluate it once the emotions settleIt works for me most of the timesIt can work for youIt’s your choice
