I’ve read a few writings involving competition
Different perspectives different definitions 
We all compete differently depending on our own make up and situations

Some are competitive on every level
Wanting to be first at everything 
Even to the point of cutting on a line 

Others are more selective in a  mass of area from athletes to gambling to board 
games etc.
Competition is universal and not limited to age
An infant will hold on to a toy or bottle 
Whether it’s a possession factor or other 
reaction I don’t know
We all try to hold on to the things we
value and at times share it with others 

We all compete with ourselves as  well
Either consciously or without being aware of our actions or motivation 

We live in a competitive world but how- when and where we compete is a very individual action
If we react to a situation without being aware of our own reasons it can be a problem 
As in all our actions and decisions it is important to have a thought out 
know ledge of ourselves 
This way we have control over you choices as well as protection against the influence and demand of others
