To those exhausted still grasping at straws
Tired of fighting this depression-filled
war
Take a look around  See what others have found
They began in a trap just like you
Persevered like hell till black and blue
You may not realize it you already have 
the gift  
Many of your writings have given us a lift 

You also take what you’ve been given 
Combine it with desire 
You will have to persevere 
To stoke the freedom fire

You may have heard this many times 
And I have heard it too
You can some help for this
But it’s really up to you                           

We  all deserve that better life
We have wished for many years
To open the vice around our life 
And smile again through fading tears 
To laugh away the strife
