Some memories are imprinted on our hearts, some on our souls. The memories that I choose to keep sometimes excite me and then some sadden me. Knowing that I can only love some people based on past memories hurts. Maybe I should let go of who I use to love let go of what I use to call peace. My memories are vivid like images flashing on a screen. Today I choose to embark on a spiritual journey and make new memories. As a wise man once said the present is a gift so we should unwrap that present everyday we live to see a new day. I'll fight, I'll cry, I'll curse, I'll fear, I'll overcome. But most importantly I will make room in my heart and head for new memories to chase me as I run away from old patterns and mental prisons.
