In my mirror

I see a man who I don't know.

Long live memories of terror

By he who never saw me grow.

Flower petals fall to the ground

As I ask myself two divine questions.

I become the murderer, broken and unsound,

Knowing I'm forever guessing.

Do I present my mother with a gift

Or should I just remain quiet this Sunday?

My entire life he caused a rift

So why do I allow his absence to play?

I love you.

I love you not.

Oh daddy,

Why did you always make me cry?

You were all I needed to see.

I was just a little boy who needed you.
