When you wake up
Trying to find a way to conceal the fit
The storm brewing inside
But you are told to get over it
That you'll be fine
Even if you're asking for help
So you suffer deep inside
Not making a sound, not even a Yelp
When you want to cry
And just ask to be held
But all you get is the love and affection from your dogs
It's like the ultimate mind meld
That's when you know
You know no one really cares
No one really wants to listen
To you cry, to wipe your tears
Doesn't matter if you feel pain
Nor sorrow, hard enough to fake happy
But here you are, feeling lower than before
Begging someone to say do you see me
But you'll just crawl up on the bed
Surrounded by the dogs who give unconditional love
And cry to yourself
For you know, their love fits like a glove
