Chapter 9
Staying Over

Iya, my childhood friend is coming over to meet my sister. Not only that he's bringing his brother with him. Before you ask, let me explain.

•••One Week Earlier•••

"Oh! Is it okay, if I let my big brother come along too?"

"Your big brother? You know how feel about him, he's super strict and no one will relax with him around."

Kanari Saru is Iya older brother. He is a warrant officer, he is one of the best of the best. Not only he is strict, he's also overwhelming talented. He's not selfish, actually he's quite the opposite. And he has an obsession when it comes to criminals, because before he joined the army he was prison guard.

But retired from that job cause he was too violent with the prisoners. And with a sister like Victoria, that won't end well. Iya says kind hearted, which is true but... I'm afraid he'll hurt my sisters and expose them to the world. I can't let happened.

"I'm sorry... but I think it's not safe for my sisters if he comes along."

"What do mean? He'll not hurt your sisters! What make you think of that?!"

"Unless one of my sisters is a criminal..."

Iya just froze when I utter those words. He slowly turn his head towards my direction and leaned closer to me. Face completely shock yet curious.

"Your sister... is a villain?"

I glare at him, informing him to choose carefully of words to call my sisters.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry. What I mean is that is your sister a bad guy?"

I placed my finger on his forehead and flicked his head.

"Ow! *Groaned* Okay, I'm sorry. How about delinquent?"

I flicked his head again.

"Ow! *Groaned* Can you stop that!"

I flicked his head again, but this time I did it twice.

"Ow! Ow! *Groaned* Alright, I get it! What about outlaw?"

I move my hand away and rested my head on the table surface.

"Suisen. Have you had any sleep? You look exhausted."

"You have no idea. *Yawns*"

•••After School•••

"Oi Kōdō! Yeh' finally made it. What bloody took you so long?!"

"*Yawns* I'm sorry, what was that? Cause if I remember I wouldn't be this tired, if a certain someone kept ditching their shifts and flirt with our costumers! And guess who had to do those extra shifts, ME! So until you put your act together you have no right to even dare look down at me, GOT THAT!"

"*Gulped* Y-yes ma'am..."

God~ this is all shit.

This guy is Flynn, don't know his last name. Mostly because I can't remember it. He's an Australian came to Japan three years ago, worked at Bi Ikinimu for two. He is well liked to the customers, mostly the ladies. He's a good guy, but it wouldn't hurt for him to actually work more once awhile. And the worst part, he suppose to be my senior. He's literally old enough to be my dad for peak sake.

•••Two Hours Later•••

I crashed on the floor before I even made it to the exit door.

"I'm so... tired~"

Third Person Point Of View

"Oi Kōdō! Are y'all still here?"

Flynn calls once again in kitchen, but still no answer. He then thought Kōdō had already left until he noticed Kōdō's body lying on the floor.

"Kōdō?! Hey! Hey! Are you alright?! Talk to me!"

Flynn took Kōdō by the shoulders and shakes her until Kōdō woke up and punched Flynn in the face.

"Can... you... shut up?!" Kōdō yelled.

Kōdō punch Flynn in the chest.

"Ow~ *Groaned* you didn't had to hit me yeah know?!" Growled Flynn.

Kōdō didn't replied, only stood up and tried to make it to the exit door. But her body lost strength and fell, as she falling she landed in the arms of Flynn.

"Flynn... what hell are you doing?"

"Come on kid it's obvious overworked yourself, didn't yeah? In that case..." before he continued Flynn lifted her like princess.

"I'll have to take you, now doesn't it? *Grin*"

"This in embarrassing, put me down."

Flynn didn't listen, he took Kōdō to his car and drove her to Kōdō new home district. Kōdō was fighting with her to stay awake.

"Hey... how did you know where I live?"

"Wait, you live around here too kiddo?"

"I moved in a month ago."

"Chriky! How in bloody hell I didn't knows this until now?"

"Huh? Are you trying to say that you actually live here? Well, that's just perfect."

Flynn parked his car and carried Kōdō into the apartment building. Until they were on floor seven, apartment seven Kōdō patted Flynn to stop.

"This is the place, you can put me down now."

"Bloody hell! We're nextdoor neighbors."

"Say what?"

"Your in apartment seven ain't'cha?"

"Yes~"

"I live right over there, in apartment eight."

"Ugh... how the hell didn't we bumped into each other?"

"Got no clue. Kid."

The door swing open and a girl with raven black hair stormed out of the door step.

"Victoria! Wait~" cried a girl inside.

"I can't wait!! What if something happened to her, and here I am doing nothing about it!!!"

Not looking where she was going, Victoria accidentally bumped into Flynn. Causing him to trip over with Kōdō still in his arms.

"Ow~ *Groaned* hey Kiddo, are ya hurt?"

"I'm fine, you should worry about yourself."

Kōdō didn't notice it, but she was holding on to Flynn hand very tightly. Kōdō always had a fear of falling, and holding Flynn was her only comfort.

"So... how long are ya plan to hold on my hand?"

"Would you rather want me to break it?"

"Big Sister?!" Shrieked the three Kōdō sisters and one cousin.

"Before any of one ask, no he's not my boyfriend."

They didn't pay attention to that fact, Victoria took Flynn by the arm and dragged him with Kōdō inside the apartment.

"Woh! What's going on?!"

"Don't worry too much about it. They do this to anyone new that comes home."

•••One Hour Later•••

"Okay, I think I getting it. So, you yall identical sisters and your their cousin. Am I right?"

"That pretty much sums it up. *Yawned*" remarked Victoria.

"Sorry for doing pressuring you like that, we just had to make sure your a good person." Margaret continued.

"Don't take it the wrong way, but we always have to take caution it comes to intervals as yourself cause of a certain *Cough* event... that happen to us." Cookie exclaimed.

"You should understand, we're not people who are too fondly to strangers." Taurus ended.

"Yeah, yeah. All good mate, I'm not gonna hurt anybody. I swear on my grandfather name!" Flynn shouted.

"Sssshh~" hushed the four towards Flynn.
"Remember whose in your arms right now." Whisper Victoria frustratingly.

As they all gesture to Kōdō fast asleep on Flynn chest. She still seem to be sleeping peacefully, Flynn tries to strok Kōdō's head but his hand wracked by one of the frustrating sisters. Kōdō had a hold on Flynn left arm so he couldn't move without waking Kōdō up.

"Does this happen often too?" Asked Flynn.

"No. But we are prepare for these situations." Answered Cookie, revelling a book saying on the cover; Be Prepared - written by Kōdō Nenshō Suisen.

The book was a comic book so it was easier for them to understand. Kōdō put each situation into great detail, and cause her drawing skill from school. All the drawings were understandable for the sisters of three.

"*Chuckled* Just like that song." Flynn chuckled.

"What do you mean?" Margaret questioned.

"What song?" Taurus continued.

"The song from Lion King, one of these popular Disney movies." Flynn explained.

•••Another Hour Later•••

So Flynn carefully brought out his phone and showed the movie. Margaret and Taurus were fantasized by the music and songs. Victoria was very focused on the main villain Scare. Cookie keep questioning about how did the animals were able to talk.

"Oh... so this is Lion King." Cookie spoken with interest.

"So cool." Said both Margaret and Taurus.

"Now I get it, is there others movies?" Victoria questioned.

"There are, but it's late. Yall should go to bedy byes and while go back to my apartment." Flynn said.

"Awww~" they all reposed to Flynn, feeling disappointed for the fact he's right and they agree.

And when the girls stopped sulking, Flynn went back home to his apartment next door. Kōdō safety went to her own bed and so did Margaret, Cookie, Victoria and Taurus.

After that night Flynn started to meet Kōdō more often, considering he finally realized they are nextdoor neighbors. He talks to the sisters and Taurus now and again, but he usually pay his attention to Kōdō. In specialty when Kōdō is cooking, he'll either help or he either graps groceries for Kōdō.

The other girls noticed this, so they asked if he had romantic feelings or thoughts about they're older sister/cousin. He simply responded in a few words.

"Nah, I just made a promise to a old friend of mine."

The girls looked at each confused, then stared back at Flynn and asked who did you made the promise with. Flynn looked around to make sure Kōdō wasn't around. Then leaned closer to them and whispered to them.

"The promise I may was with Kōdō's father... but you yall better not telly tell and speak this to Kōdō, ya hear me?"

They were shock but despite that have lying to Kōdō. They said nothing about the promise and kept Flynn secret hidden from Kōdō.

•••Present Day•••

Tonight is the night, the night when Iya and his scary, bigger, serious older brother are coming over.

"Kōdō? Are you okay? You looking pale, are you tired again?"

"*Sigh* It's okay Taurus, I'm fine. I'm just hope your other cousin don't do anything moronic..."

"I highly doubt that, the three of them have been practicing they're mannerism through a entire week. I believe it'll be absolutely fine. Trust me."

"That's was actually reassuring, thank you Taurus."

"No problem."

There was a sudden knock on the door, Kōdō once soothed heart started pounding like Japanese drum. She opens the door, slowly peeking outside to see... Flynn.

"FLYNN?! WHAT THE HELL! YOU ALMOST GAVE ME A BLIMING HEART ATTACK! Actually why are you here? I did told you thousands of times that I'm having visitors tonight."

"Right, right. I know that, but I only came here to give ya groceries again. They were all on sale so it saved my money anyway."

"Oh. Thank you Flynn, that's was actually nice of you. Not like I'm saying you were never nice or anything. Just thank you."

Kōdō then got a pat on the head by Flynn as he gave the plastic bags filled of fresh food. Flynn gave a thumbs up, and then walked to next door.

"Have ya nice evening kiddo."

"You... too?"

Flynn slimed at Kōdō one last time as he inside his apartment. Kōdō was dazed, she didn't know what to say or do next.

"Hey Big Sis!"

"Huh! Oh. What is it Margaret?"

"Can I wear my pink shirt? I don't feel like wearing a dress tonight. Is that okay?"

"Sure, it's okay. They are only visiting, don't need to go over our heads here."

"Okay! Thanks Sis!"

As Margaret returns to her room, Kōdō gets dinner ready. Kōdō started looking at the clock, but she seems like all of stress and worry were suddenly gone. Like if someone just scared them away off her shoulders.

Kōdō finished making dinner in the nick of time. She waited on the couch and thought about how Flynn remained her of her father's friend. She can't remember who they looked like but she remembered all the games they used to play.

Kōdō was then dragged out of memory lane from the sound of the door. She calmly got up from the couch and brushed herself off. She then walked to the still knocking door and opened it with a genuine peaceful smile.

"Hello~ Welcome, come in. I hope you weren't waiting too long."

"No, not at all! It's nice to see you again Suisen. Right brother?"

Iya was wearing a pink dress, while his brother wore casual clothing.

"Thank you for having us."

"Gald you came."
