Silent Tears 5/17/19 Read Count : 146

Do they see you crying
Or is that you who’s smiling

Are you putting on a mask
So really they won’t ask

They want you to feel better
You were a “go getter “

The life of the party
You were hail and hearty

That was another life
Now pain depression and strife

Do you feel good if they’re relieved
Do you think that your smile is believed

Amidst your performing smile
Your dying all the while

This effort to deceive
Are giving the wrong people relief

If you’re honest it may get some sore
But those with compassion will know
the score

If healing is your fervent wish
Then honesty should top the list

By thinking of their fears
Your crying silent tears

You know your life’s been tough
You’ve hidden quite enough

Don’t you think it’s time to choose
To win rather to lose

It’s time to take a stand
And renew the life you planned
