She looks at me intently, her eyes blossoming with pride.  

She takes my hand, where we stand, the veil covers her smile so wide.
Her gown is quite lovely, it's fit for a queen.
As I stare at her figure, I feel I'm seeing a dream.
I say my vows and she follows with hers, a joyous time as we sing some verse.
A reception grand and a cake so tall, thank you so much, one and all.
Dancing and singing, a merry ol' time.  A toast to us with a bottle of wine.
And as the evening draws to a close, I open my eyes to find...

...I am alone.
