Lock the door behind you

But don't let it shut

Clasp my hand in yours

Then put up a front

Keep all my secrets

Then tell the world my shame

Stifle my deepest fears

Then hang yourself lame

Cry and weep with sorrow

But don't shed a tear

Carry every burden

But let anxiety come near

Write me a story

But don’t add any love

Cover me in kisses

Then strangle our doves

Hold me like you mean it

Then hit me like you don’t

Rip my heart to pieces

But never let it go
