When we set a standard
Should we settle for less
Does it pay to compromise
Which could lead to distress

When we’re in the”field”
Looking for our dream
Are we often frustrated
Bad enough to scream

We have a chance encounter
Most unexpectedly
The sudden realization never considered
I’ve accepted her- will she accept me

It’s just a first meeting
Am I jumping too far ahead
Am I just overreacting
And just “play it cool”instead

I don’t want to mess it up
It’s to good to loose
But making up a story
That later may confuse

As the dating world turns
Your head swimming with romance
Your on the decision tightrope
You have to take a chance

You ponder the issues
What if truth doesn’t work
If lying’s discovered later
You’ll seem just like a jerk

It’s a typical dilemma
That happens every day
Truth may be a turnoff
With lying you’ll end the day

Nothing’s ever certain
In the partner -seeking route
For the sake of you’re integrity
You always tell the truth
