When we set a standardShould we settle for lessDoes it pay to compromiseWhich could lead to distressWhen we’re in the”field”Looking for our dreamAre we often frustratedBad enough to screamWe have a chance encounterMost unexpectedlyThe sudden realization never consideredI’ve accepted her- will she accept meIt’s just a first meetingAm I jumping too far aheadAm I just overreactingAnd just “play it cool”insteadI don’t want to mess it upIt’s to good to looseBut making up a storyThat later may confuseAs the dating world turnsYour head swimming with romanceYour on the decision tightropeYou have to take a chanceYou ponder the issuesWhat if truth doesn’t workIf lying’s discovered laterYou’ll seem just like a jerkIt’s a typical dilemmaThat happens every dayTruth may be a turnoffWith lying you’ll end the dayNothing’s ever certainIn the partner -seeking routeFor the sake of you’re integrityYou always tell the truth
