do you catch the gist of things I don't often write,
can you surmise the true nature of things that are not in plain sight?
Do you have the ability to get the drift of word and pen,
to know and understand,
do you see the love within,
even when I don't say a thing?
Are you able to read a verse, a whole poem, or just a line,
to know, see and comprehend
the vivid and untold pictures
that I hold within my mind?
