"I dont understand, Mom." I sigh, holding back my anger as she watches me clean my room, "The world up there is exactly like ours, just we dont have legs." I said
"That world is completely different, Y/N. Stop being so complicated. Your not going to the surface and that's final!" My Mom says sternly. "Going out into the sun would also peel your scales off. You dont want that, do you?"
"No.. That would burn.." I sighed and looked at my Tail, swaying it back and forth as I watched the pink and blue clash.
"It would. Now get ready, we're going to see Mr. Kim in a few minutes." She said, walking out of my room.
"Yea Yea..." I mumbled, brushing my hair out with the brush.

I'm Lee Y/N. I'm a mermaid. We have the exact same things Humans do, just use them differently I guess. Anyways, I'm so attracted to the world above the surface, people seem so neat! But, my mother tells me to stay away from there because the sun can burn my scales and humans are 'dangerous' Ugh.

After the meeting with Mr. Kim, mom said she had to go out with him and would be back by sunset tomorrow. It was already turning dark! So~ Once she left I grabbed my things and swam to the surface! Besides, the sun isnt out, I cant burn my scales with no sun! Hah, eat crap Mom!
I swam to the surface peeping my head out of the water.

I was sitting close to the shore, when randomly I saw pretty brown hair pop out of the water, a girls face coming out as well.
"What the hell? Who are you?" I stood up and walked closer into the water, the water to my ankles.
She shook her head and backed up a bit, submerging her whole body but her eyes.
"Please! Who are you? Why are you in the water this lake?" I saw her heart glowing, it was a light pink peach. I look down when I saw a light blue glow from my chest, "W-What the hell?.."
"S-Sir.. Your heart.." She swam a bit closer as she mumbled, "I know.." I replied.
"Do you know w-why their doing that?" She asked me, "What is your name?"
She stayed silent for a moment, "Lee Y/N.." She mumbled agian, "Why are you under the water?" I saw a pink and blue fin pop up from behind her, "W-Watch out!" I didnt know what it was but I pointed behind her, she turned around quickly. "What?" She asked, confused. "Their was like a pink and blue fin behind you.. get out, now.." I walked closer to her, holding out my hand for her to grab, "S-Sir, I cant." She pushed some of her hair behind her ear, "Why?" I asked, reaching out to her more. She sighed, "Pull me out and you'll see." She grabbed my hand and I pulled her out. I couldnt believe what I just saw!!
