If I could, I'd hold you near. Quiet your doubts and calm your fears. I'd stand with you out in the rain, let the drops fall upon us and wash away our pain.
If I could, I'd hold your hand. Walk along the beach, leave hearts drawn in the sand. Watch the sun as it begins to set. Let the waves get our feet wet.
If I could, I'd kiss your lips. I'd place my hands upon your hips. I'd hold you up so you didn't touch the ground. The beating of hearts, the only sound.
If I could, I'd walk with you. Share my love, a love that is true.
