Choices- 
We all have the ability to make them
Sometimes they are effective -other times not
But we can often change or modify them 
Those who are trapped in circumstances where they physically cannot leave face a daunting- often agonizing dilemma 
The are confined to a place - be it a home-hospital or institution where  leaving is not possible or practical 

This is when choices become vital for diversion and relief
Reading - writing-tv-radio-phone are the obvious ones combined with the persons creativity 
The destructive aspect of this situation is to simply dwell on the issues often creating increased pressure and depression  
If that occurs -hope dwindles  and more desperate choices are considered 
In such a inflexible situation these choices are not solutions but survival decisions unto their circumstances change 
Confinement can be a terrible thing 
but with a strong desire and imagination 
One can “ride it out” until a better choice is available 
As they move on to better conditions-
they can look back with pride and satisfaction at this great achievement
