Once again the pendulum swings Preparing for a troubling thing
Staring with pre- op
My brain about to pop

Then the procedure comes next
I wonder sometimes if I’m hexed 
I’ve been here before 
Going through that OR door

I’ve been assured it will be a gain
But once again I’ll  meet the pain
I trust the physician 
That’s why I made this decision 

If it goes well
I still will go through hell
The story of my life
Me and the surgeon’s  knife

I’ve had a lot of good times 
So I’m not really sad
But it’s another surgery 
So neither am I glad

In a week I will know 
If this was my last show 
I’ll either feel like a festival 
Or I could become a vegetable
