The Monster Inside Read Count : 61

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A

Are you scared to look at me?  Are you afraid of what you'll see?  Gaze deep inside and behold the monster that is me.

The war is over, the battle is done.  The demons took over, the darkness has won.  I fought so hard, but to no avail.  I guess I was soft, my soul could not prevail.

The anger did stab me, sadness it's sword.  Madness consumed me, like an unholy horde.  I tried to speak, but no one heard my plea, kept fighting them back, knocked down on my knees.

In the end, there was one final blow.  The demon laughed as he ripped out my soul.  With an evil smile and a darkened heart, the monster inside began to rip me apart.

Physically alive but spiritually dead, the monster inside now thrives in my head.  So look in my eyes and you will see, there's nothing there left of me.
