The cross around my neck,
Does not symbolize my love of God.
The cross around my neck,
Does not say, "I' going to heaven."
The cross around my neck,
Does not mean I don't sin...

The cross around my neck,
Means so much more to me.

It symbolizes my hope, that, there are two ways this could end. 
I could get through this...
Or die trying.

It says,
"I have to remind myself of the good.
Because the bad is so consuming,
I remember can't light."

It means,
I am a sinner,
But reminds me,
What happened was NOT my fault...

I could NOT have seen it coming.
I could NOT stop it.
I can NOT lose faith...

The cross around my neck is my hope.
So when the chain brakes,
And the crucifix is missing,
My hope just shattered too...
