My heart pounds when I walk down the old halls
I try not to let it bother me, but in doing so it becomes worse
My breath escapes my body before I want to let it go
The sounds surround my skull, begging to be let in
My pulse pounds throughout my body
Turning my eyes red
Still, I move forward.
The ground shakes under my feet,
Cracking with every step I take
The wind rushes up from behind,
Pushing anything and everything out of it's way
Pushing me forward.
The further I go the worse it gets
The further I go the more they plead I stop
The more they plead the further I go.
And I want to stop,
But for you I will not
Wind stops for no one
Rain stops for no one
Life stops for no one.
So why should I?
