As soon as my head hits the pillow
The emotional parade begins
The thoughts range
From familiar to strange
From bizarre to extas
All that my minds eye can see
The bad ones disturbing
And l’m finally Iearning
How to battle the demons
When it’s demon hunting season
When they enter my brain
With their demonic refrain
I change my thoughts mood
By thinking of food
It sounds like a quirk
But it really does work
The good thoughts  are pleasant
Like a great birthday present
Make sleeping an ease
Like a cool summer breeze
The problem exists
When my mind takes a twist
I’m confronted with a picture
Of a good and bad mixture
The technique’s the same
With this mixed up refrain
With the good thoughts I ride
Forcing bad ones to hide
When they come back
I’ll resume the attack
And send all those demons
Out- loudly screaming
To tell you truth
As I march on this route
I don’t always win
And to my shagrin
My heart skips a beat
And that night I don’t sleep

I now poise the question
For you writters suggestion
What is your strategy
With your sleep -time tragedy
