It’s three in the afternoon on this Friday and I’m sitting here thinking of a topic to write about. I’ve covered a lot of topics in my poems and stories, but there’s so much more I have yet to write down.

37 written pieces with a variety of subject matter ranging from fictional stories, poems about how I see the world, poems about myself, love and my goal to have a career as a writer.

There are just so many things going on all over the world, but not everyone’s story gets highlighted. Women, children and men in developing nations who struggle through poverty, war, natural disasters and human trafficking.

Heroes without capes who give voices to the silenced, fight for equality, bring about justice and change to the world, stand face to face and go toe to toe with every challenge.

I want to write about those kinds of people and I want to be one of those people. I want to take take notes from them, learn more about them and follow in their footsteps. I want to meet people like Danai Gurira, Malala Yousafzai, Michelle Obama, Kailash Satyarthi and many more people like them who step up, move the world into a more positive and fair direction and bring light to the saddening, inhumane and unjust issues that many face all over the world, that not many people want to address.

That’s where I find my inspiration; I find it in seeing people care for each other, fight for each others rights, make the world a better place and do it all with love, faith, hope and passion.

Through my writing, I want to be able to shine light on those who cast light onto others who live in the dark. I just want to be able to make a positive impact on this world, leave my mark and write about important issues and important people using this form of art.

I’m going to research more people who stand up for important causes and bring fairness and kindness to the world. With unity and loud voices I truly believe we can move mountains and fight for everyone all over the world to be able to have equal opportunities to live fulfilling lives. Everyone! Every woman, man, boy and girl.
