Waves of sorrow Can be relentless
Caught in its flow And no place to go
You struggle to survive To keep yourself alive
Shouting for some help You can also help yourself

This ocean of despair
Does have a brighter side
If you fight to overcome
Rather than to hide

Just like a crowded beach
With people in to swim
One way to start the process
Start helping from within

There’s also outside help
Do not disregard
Eager and willing to save
Just like the beach lifeguard

Once you’re back on shore
Busy with reflection
You can swim again
But  in a new direction

The change may not be easy
But if desire is strong
Life may turn bright and breezy
If you learn to swim along

The process of a change
May take time to rearrange
But those waves of sorrow
Can become a better tomorrow
