I lay my eyes over your still body, a blanket of tears sending you away. All those years of sickness, i knew this was coming. All those months in the hospital, while i was at home. I prayed for you. We all did. My mother would leave each night to go tuck you in. Into the bed where youd be flown off. Into heaven like youd always dreamed of. I was at my cousins and my mom and aunts walked inside. Told us your sickness had taken your life. And now I look over your body all dressed in black. Wishing id said a better goodbye when i last talked to you. I wish i could tell you how much i miss you...
