Years ago wisdom taught of quests to royalty.
Today I'm going to teach you how to fuck things up royally.
Remember a time when peace and serenity were attainable
Well what happens to a man when the world just piles on
Does he get back up and fight like a moron
Or does he really understand the train that hit him should have been self explainable
When he loves, and loses is he better for having lost love than never loving at all
Or do we just say that to make ourselves look less stupid after a fall
Do anyone or anything even remotely existential
You'll be fine don't let anyone see you crack you know
They're all vultures waiting to chow on your toes
Protect your heart while you have one
You may one day just find yourself done
With everything and everyone
Longing for a day when people remembered you were born
Truth is you're completely worn
Remember her scent
See her smile, and her camp with him in your old tent
Remember you never made her that happy
Your emptiness left pieces of you scattered
Don't ask me why I remember her favourite flavor of salt water Taffy
Or the men I fit into the category of, her pattern
She's to be married soon
It's not the fire in my bosum that makes me write this lyrical tune.
It's not the ice cream and memories I wish I could could remove
It's the knowledge that she was never as happy with me
That I will never be able to breathe that joy as much as I may plea
That I am, and was forgotten.
I do not speak of what you did to me.
As always you were forgiven.
The difference between us
I never would have thought to leave you in wreckless abandon
You chose to throw me in a dungeon
