The fear of change is one of the most common fears people face. Ironical as it may be, as change is the only constant. But the reality is change is difficult for everyone. In fact, according to the International Language of Behavior, which examines the varying motivations, communication styles, views, relationships, and the individual personality affects on every aspect of one's life, change is a concept that 69% of the population specifically resist. You see according to this language of behavior, known as the DISC behavioral analysis, human behavior can be categorized into four (4) distinct groups. Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance, The intensity by which each of these behavioral styles impact human behavior varies person by person. But, those with the dominant behavioral style "S" for steadiness, are said to be resistant to change. Yet, the fact is, change is a fixture of life, for nothing stays the same. After all, there is a beginning and end to all life, and even within that life we change. Be it physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, inside and out. And, if you struggle with the fear of change rather than allow it to occur as it's meant to, you risk trapping yourself in an existence that limits your own growth. Remember to not fear change, embrace it for what it is, and perhaps you will see that the changes that come with life, are not meant to give you what you want, but are those meant to give you who you are.
