Hazy Shades Of Life Read Count : 59

I find myself chasing the sun,

Looking for some kind of light.

But what is lost is still undone.

And this darkness is the hardest to fight.

The trouble I've borrowed has been kind so far.

But I don't see tomorrow, struggle to feel me anymore.

I look back at my shelter rusting away, everything's so marred.

Pieces of my life litter this place, seasons just don't change like before.

These are the hazy shades of life, never been one to stay between the lines.

But a line won't save a heart, it won't keep away the dark, it won't make things right.

One finger at a time, letting go of the moments lingering in the hazy shades my life.

The hazy shades of life.

A perfect shot of whiskey, that backroad that always lead home.

The flames that drove me higher than I ever should've gone.

It shook the earth when I hit that hard ground.

Feeling strung out on my freedom, a broken spirit that's hell bound.

But there is a masterpiece somewhere in this shattered glass.

And the embers burn brighter than they ever have, they light this darkness I keep.

These are the hazy shades of life, never been one to stay between the lines.

But holding on won't bring back the past, it won't give what you never had, it won't make things right.

One finger at a time, letting go of the moments still lingering in the hazy shades of life.

These are the hazy shades of life.

The hazy shades of my life.
