*A WEEK LATER*

JON'S POV 

              I looked out the window after hearing horns. Three Limousines were parked in front of my office ...the first one was highlighted by bulky men in uniforms...I would guess body guards ,they walked down to the second Limo and opened the door,a young man highlighted...then the guards proceeded to open the last Limo revealing an old man in a suit..... I looked closer and realised it was Dave Williams , Duke of Brigonton ...I frown...what was he doing here?
        I returned to my seat behind the desk
Then there was knocking 

"Come in"I said Coolly ...my secretary entered bowing his head

"Sir,Duke Williams is here to—"he was unable to continue as the duke pushed him aside entering the office...

"I've heard you're the best lawyer in town "he said not even giving me a chance to reply" this is my son Rickard "he gestured towards the young man,they both took a seat"but I'm not here for him...I'm here for my daughter Wilhelmina"

I shifted in my seat

"How may I help you ?"

"Well Minnie is just 26 years, too young to go to jail..I don't want to know how but I don't want my daughter to remain there for more than a week more" he replied

"Actually Wilhelmina has been accused of the murder of her husband Will Ambrose" Rickard said

"And is the accusation false?"I asked


"No"Rickard said sharply"And it doesn't matter
Her being there is not good for our reputation"

"And why should I bother getting myself involved?"

"Because you have no options...If you don't.. It'll  takes very little effort to destroy you"the duke countered

"Are you threatening me?"

"Whatever you choose to believe"then they both got up "I'll see you soon enough"they left

I sank into my seat massaging my temples..after an hour I decoded to go see this Wilhelmina girl...see how bad her case is
