I was young once, actually, I was young more than once; I was whilom young. My youth withstood the concatenating of days, rather like a dais upon which plethoratudinous instances would cascade. I do not know with what strands I'm obliged to the past, yet I've a certain nexus to my nascency.

For some of us, childhood was ripped away but it doesn't mean we can't create a new one for ourselves now. It can be done.
