Crossing The Line. 4/6/19 Read Count : 75

I’m walking a tightrope
Balancing  is tough
Cross the line
That too will be rough
I’ve been there before
But conscience stepped in
Today l’m not sure
If conscience would win
Torn in direction
Today life can’t help
Should I speak to someone
Or deal by myself
Convictions are weakened
Is time running out
I once had the answers
Now there’s just doubt
I’m grasping at straws
Wrong straw- we all pay
If I cross the line-
May do it anyway
When need becomes magnets
And force gets too strong
The step I may take
Confuses right and wrong
Principles get hazy
Desperation moves in
Should I cross the line
I lose if I win
One foot is raised
The other’s on track
Should I step forward
There’s no going back
Before this brief journey
Start thinking real fast
If I cross that threshold
I discard the past
What’s more important
At this stage of the game
To change my direction
Or keep things the same
If the answer were simple
This would be a blank page
It used to be easy
But not as this stage
With all of my efforts
And all of my time
I still face this dilemma
Of crossing the line

  • I think all of us struggle with that, that moment where we have to decide which way we should go, which path we should take. At the end of the day, we just need to trust. Trust we're making the right choice and just go with what we choose.
