I break every time
One bit at a time 
One shred gone 
Then on to the next 


I can’t make you change
I can’t me you love me 
The way I love you 
You will always be you 


I love that about you 
And I hate that about you
As you pull me close
Then push me away 


I cry 
I break 
I fall apart 
Just so I can put you back together 


I wouldn’t change anything 
But you wish I would 
Not about you, though 
About me 


I don’t say how I feel 
Because I know how you will feel
Then I will have to apologize
As I have a thousand times 


I will beg for you to talk to me
For you to forgive me 
Again and again 
Breaking each time


I will never tell you how I feel 
I will never show you this poem 
But I will feel it in my heart 
As I say “I’m sorry” for the hundredth time 


I am in love  
I am  tired 
I am sorry 
I am broken
