"So you're Fate?" I asked the woman

She just smiled and nodded her head. She kept trying to push me to get on to my bike. She wasn't strong enough to move me.

"You definitely not as strong as Death." I said.

She stopped and huffed. "Sorry I'm not as good as Death."

I patted her head. "Not what I meant my lady."

Her eyes lit up at what I called her. She just looked up at me and smiled. I feel she is a very simple being. I took a step back from her then saw her attire. Her loose fitting gown with a sash and sandals were not fit to ride a motorcycle.

"Before i take you for a ride you need proper riding attire. I know you are a cosmic being but I'm still a gentleman. I'm not going to let you willingly put yourself in danger." I said to her.

She just stared down at her gown. I took her hand and started back for the mall entrance. She didn't even resist. She just followed behind me quietly. We made it to a clothing store. I had to keep a hold of her hand the whole time cause if I didn't she would just wonder off. I definitely didn't know her size and it look like she didn't know either since she might have always just worn the gown.

I picked a few different sizes of jeans off the rack "I need you to try these on."

She looked at me for a second then started to pull her gown up. I quickly stopped her before it came above her knees.

"I meant for you to go over to the dressing rooms. Then once inside try them on under your gown." I said

She looked at me confused. I sighed. I took her over to the dressing rooms. There was a few girls waiting. So we waited in line. I always hated clothes shopping, especially with girls. When I shop I'm in and out within 20 mins of going in. But girls I might as well bring a sleeping bag cause I'm not leaving within the first 2 hours. We finally make it to the front. There is always the assumption that couples are fooling around if they go into the dressing rooms together. So there was no chance of me going in to make sure they fit right. So I tried to explain to her how to tell if they are the right size.

She nodded like she understood but I still felt it wasn't going to go well. I sat on the bench outside and waited for her to come out. It felt like forever til I heard her say my name. I looked up and could see the jeans under her gown.

"How do they feel?" I asked

"I couldn't get them to button. Is that bad." She replied.

"That is not bad. It just means they are too small for you. But looks like the length is right." I said.

I looked at the sizes of jeans I had. She was already wearing the smallest size I picked up so I gave her a pair that was 2 sizes bigger so if they were too big then the middle size would be right. I handed her the pair of jeans.

"Go switch into these." I said

Without even replying she took the jeans and went back into the dressing room. I went and grabbed a few different sized shirts for her to try on.

"What are you doing looking through the girls clothes Daniel?" said a female voice.

I knew the voice. Why did she have to find me. I turned around to look at Alex. She was stand there in her designer clothes and shoes just glare at me.

"I'm helping out a friend. Leave me alone." I said.

"Are you cheating on me?" Yelled Alex.

I dropped the clothes and pushed her up against a clothes rack covering her mouth. I didn't want to be so forceful but if people hear her talk like we are dating. There will be no end to the problems for me.

"First of all we are not dating so I couldn't possibly cheat on you. And second you are not my type." I whispered to her.

I could see the fear in her eyes. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to see it was Aria. I let Alex go and turned.

"Did they fit fine?" I asked.

"They were too big. I could feel them sliding down if I didn't hold them up." Said replied.

I picked up the shirts and handed them to her. "Go take off those pants and try on these shirts and tell me which one fits best."

She disappeared again into the dressing room leaving me alone with Alex again. Alex slapped me. It stung but I didn't show any emotion.

"Don't you dare put your hands on me like that again." Said Alex

I turned away from her and went back to the sitting area outside the changing rooms. I closed my eyes and tilted my head back. I didn't need this in my life. Why does everything take a turn for the worst. I felt the cushion beside me move but I didn't open my eyes. I really didn't care who it was. I started to hum the song from earlier. An image came into my mind as I kept humming. It was a shadowy figure reaching for me. The eyes of the figure felt familiar but I couldn't place them.

"Stop that right now." came a frantic voice.

It pulled me out of the daze I was in. I opened my eyes to Aria a few inches from me with a look of fear in her eyes.

"No mortal should know that song" she said.

Everything around us was frozen in time. But I felt someone else was here. I looked past Aria and there was a woman standing in the middle of the room. She looked almost exactly like Aria but gave off a different presence. Then it hit me it was Death.

"Death what are you doing here?" I said.

"I am not Death. My name is Lilith. I felt that song you were humming and I was drawn here." Said the woman.

I was confused but she looked exactly like Death. Down to her very presence. I stood up and extended my hand to her.

"It's eerie how much you look like my master, mortal." said Lilith.

"My name is Daniel not mortal." I said.

She shook my hand and I felt her power. It was immense. If she is this powerful her master must be a god.

Like she could hear my thoughts "my master is a god. Far more powerful than the Death of this universe."

"What do you mean of this universe" I asked.

"There are an infinite number of universes. They are all the possible outcomes to the choices humanity makes. There are only 2 beings that transcend the barriers and live outside the universes. Her master is one of the 2." Said Aria.

I just stood there with my mouth hanging wide open. Aria just giggled at me. Lilith's expression changed.

"I can sense the essence of Death on you. You have been to her realm and returned." Said Lilith.

I tried to remove my hand from hers but she was too strong.

"You are a disruption to the balance of this universe. Your Death has broken one of the sacred laws of the Primals." She said.

I could feel her immense aura radiating from her. It was suffocating me. I could feel my life draining away. My knees hit the ground hard as all my strength was drained. Even after I stopped self mutilating myself I was still going to die young. I looked at Aria and she was frozen in fear. This is not how it's going to end. I closed my eyes and started to hum the song again. But this time it felt different. It felt like I was gaining my strength back. I opened my eyes I stared up into Lilith's eyes. She moved faster than I could react and threw me across the room. She moved and held me by my throat against the wall. I was unable to breathe.

"That song is more powerful than you know. It could sap the strength of a primal. I don't know where you learned it but I'm going to destroy you to keep my master safe." Said Lilith.

I felt a new strength enter my body. I grabbed the hand around my throat and started to crush it. I pulled the hand away from me and forced Lilith to her knees. But this powerful felt wrong like it was only meant to harm people. I let her go and step back.

"That power is neither good or evil. Daniel" said a voice out of nowhere.

The voice was soothing. The presence that surrounded me was cool. I looked around seeing if I could pinpoint where the voice came from. But I didn't see anyone. Everything around us was still frozen. Lilith got up and stared at me. Before she could say anything everything began to move again.Alex looked at the women who looked identical except for the hair and eyes. She got up and came to me.

"Who are these women Daniel?" She asked.

"You honestly wouldn't believe me if I told you." I replied.
