The thing about love is when you think you lost it, you find it in the most unexpected place...My names Calix Johnson and I suffer from a broken heart. About 3 months ago my family fell apart, my mother died in a car accident and ever since then my dad has been a raging alcoholic. Now being left in the care of him we plan on moving to Ohio to find a new start.

Its fall and the leaves crunch under my feet as I walk to my new school. In no rush to get there, because I'm nervous. As the cold crisp air blows a strand into my face I tuck it being my pink cold ear as I hear my name being hollered. Looking to my right I see my neighbors daughter Alaina running towards me. Waving, smiling as her hair flows with the crisp air loosely as she stops beside me walking to the school parking lot.

"Excited? We're going to be freshman!" Alaina squealed fist pumping the air.

"Yeah, so excited." I replied lying through my teeth. Obviously wanting the conversation to end.

As we continue to walk to the schools front door. Alaina waved to people cheerfully calling her name as I continued up the schools steps opening the door enough only to let the both of us in. Looking upon the lockers to see which is mine I count backwards.

"Hey, wait up Calix!!" Jogging towards me, Alaina bumps into a senior with dark brown hair in blue jeans topped off with a black shirt and converse. Knowing it would take awhile for Alaina to get back to me, I continued down the hallway till I found my locker. Opening it on the first time with my combination I placed my books carefully into my locker.

Closing my locker I look around observing my surroundings. Stopping as my eyes lays upon one of the Freshman. Taking in his features I assumed he was 6'3 with medium length light brown hair and the darkest brown eyes I've ever seen. Turning away walking to geometry class as I noticed I was staring too long looking at the classroom doors.

Choosing the seat closest to the front I settle down into my chair placing my books to my right holding my pencil in hand with a notebook ready to take notes. Before hearing someone settle into the seat beside me I glance seeing a males torso. Taking a mother look up at the males face I notice it was the guy I saw in the hallway.

"Hey.." He says confidently as Mr.Berkman enters the class placing his folders on his desk. Wrapping around it to the whiteboard grabbing a fine tip black expo marker he writes 'The basics of Geometry!'
