14 years ago today I made the best decision of my life. I showed up, not that that was ever in doubt. I showed up to marry my best friend, my soulmate, the man of my dreams. It was a crazy road that got us there, and it has ben an even crazier ride since.
 
My husband will tell you that I really didn’t like him when we first met. That’s not exactly true, even though it is apparently what I said on our wedding video. He just wasn’t my type. Maybe that should have been the thing that most attracted me to him because, let’s face it, my type hadn’t exactly been “winners.” Even though he wasn’t my type at the time, he quickly became my type. He is a man who is kind, caring, loving, and just all-around amazing. He is funny and driven and smart (as evidenced by the fact he married me, right?) I am truly the luckiest woman in the world to have him walk by my side.
 
So, my love, thank you for choosing me and for also showing up 14 years ago. Thank you for our life. Thank you for our children. Thank you for the laughs. Thank you for the smiles. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the hugs and kisses. Thank you for the tears as well, because without those we would not be nearly as strong as we are. Thank you for being you and for loving me just as I am, flaws and all.
