My body  feels So soft and warm as I awake 
Just another day
I stretch myself and look around 
My gaze reveals a fun display 
I rub myself against the corners of my room and stretch my paws out on the walls ;
I would make noise but there’s no reason right now to answer another’s mating calls ,
Hunger; now guides my movements and emotions as my body begins to prepare ,
On the softest paws I know to yield ; I wander slowly towards the unaware 
A sound of intense crackling changes the mood like lightning in the middle  of the day.
It sends  a chill of happiness through my body , instead of what could be construed as dismay.
The realization that I am not on my own to survive the cruelty of humanity , builds pride in my heart for my handlers and encases what’s left of my sanity .
