Life is like a journey on a train... with its stations... with changes of routes... and on rare occasions, even with accidents.
At birth, we boarded the train and met our parents. In our heart of heart, we believe they will always travel with us by our side. However, at some station along the way our parents will get off the train, leaving us on this journey alone. But through our journey, other people will board the train and they will be significant travelers to us - our siblings, extended family, friends, children, and maybe even the love of our life. However, along the journey of many stations, many will get off the train and leave a permanent vacuum in our life. There are some though who will go so unnoticed that we don't even realize they vacated their seats, which is pretty sad when you think about it.
This train ride will be an experience that is full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. To make the ride meaningful, all we need to do is have a good relationship with all the passengers... requiring that we give the best of ourselves always.
The mystery to everyone is, we do not know at which station we ourselves will get off. So, we must always check ourselves and live right - love, forgive, and always offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to get off the train and vacate our seat, we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.
I wish all of you a joyful ride. Open your heart and give lots of love. More importantly, give thanks for the journey.
