Today I woke up
In a haze/
Still wavy from the night before/
I see the lost girl in my eyes/
She seems so afraid so unsure.
Today I woke up!
And I realised im coasting/
A dangerous glide I fear.
Im on the kinda road,
Where danger cycles near.
Today the enchantment is duller then before/
And Im left with a feeling of always wanting more.
The secrets that we keep/
the lies we tell are hearts/
Just to not face the truth, of all our drowning parts.
I cannot and will not,
face this daunting day
I'm going round in circles
Im slip sliding away.
Today I need a way/
to want something more
Then feeding my feelings and smoking endless draw.
Stuck in a kaleidoscope of dreams/
where life is a fairy tail
a figment off my scheme's.
Reality seems brutally dull/
And not somewhere to stay/
Not when you can Call a friend who can supply a trip away.
Today I'm in a maze/
Amazing it can Seem
but is it really a detour..
from all my hopes and dreams.
