We all have a voice 
Waiting to be heard 
With a song of hope 
We can sing like a bird 

With pen or with mouth 
From deep in our heart
We can fight to express 
What we’re really about

Yes it’s true some reveal
While others hold back
With a fear that is real
From a listeners attack

It takes courage not skill
To open your heart 
For  you maybe in fear
Of being torn apart 

But you’ll always find
When you risk a retort 
The people that care
To give you support 

We all deserve some happines 
When our lives are filled with strife 
Yet some may be fearful of change 
Though it cuts like a knife 

My message is simple 
I hope you find true
If you sing your real song
They will listen to you

And that might be the key 
That opens the door
For a chance to be happy 
That you’ve not had before 

So my fervent true wish
That you give it a chance 
To sing from your heart 
To be happy and dance
